• Das sich ständig wandelnde Wettbewerbsumfeld und externe Einflüsse erfordern von Unternehmen eine kontinuierliche Anpassung ihrer strategischen Kontrollinstrumente, damit ein langfristiger Erfolg sichergestellt werden kann. Die Verwendung des Management-Tools Balanced Scorecard als Frühwarnsystem optimiert das strategische Controlling, indem es Risiken und negative Entwicklungen frühzeitig identifiziert. Die Kooperationspartnerin der vorliegenden Arbeit ist ein mittelständisches Tochterunternehmen der Granit Holding GmbH, welches in der Reinigungsbranche tätig ist. Diese stellt in Österreich aufgrund des stark umkämpften Marktumfeldes eine anspruchsvolle Branche dar. Aus diesem Grund besteht ein Bedarf, das strategische Controlling der Kooperationspartnerin zu optimieren, um weiterhin den Herausforderungen der schwierigen Marktbedingungen erfolgreich zu begegnen. Bisher gibt es kein Controlling-Tool in Form einer Balanced Scorecard, welches dem Unternehmen einen schnellen und ausgewogenen Überblick über dessen Leistung verschafft und nicht ausschließlich auf vergangenheitsorientierte Rechnungswesen-Daten zurückgreift. Daher ist die Problemstellung dieser Arbeit die Klärung der Frage, wie eine Balanced Scorecard, welche speziell auf die Anforderungen der Kooperationspartnerin zugeschnitten ist, inhaltlich aufgebaut werden soll. Für die Klärung der Hauptforschungsfrage werden im ersten Schritt die strategischen Grundlagen des Unternehmens untersucht. Dafür wird die Unternehmensumwelt anhand einer Literaturrecherche sowie einer Unternehmensanalyse, welche auf Basis eines Leitfadeninterviews mit der Geschäftsführerin durchgeführt wird, analysiert. Im zweiten Schritt wird anhand der gewonnenen Informationen die Balanced Scorecard für die Kooperationspartnerin entwickelt. Dafür werden zunächst die Perspektiven festgelegt und die Unternehmensziele abgeleitet. Um die Zielerreichung zu messen, werden im nächsten Schritt die Messgrößen definiert. Dazu werden Kennzahlen zur Auswahl vorgeschlagen, welche anschließend mittels Scoring-Verfahren von einem*r Mitarbeiter*in bewertet werden. Die Ergebnisse werden der Geschäftsführerin als letzte Entscheidungsinstanz vorgelegt. Anschließend werden die operativen Zielwerte und Toleranzgrenzen festgelegt und strategische Aktionen bestimmt. Zuletzt wird die Balanced Scorecard anhand der erarbeiteten Daten in MS Excel visuell umgesetzt. Praxisoutput der vorliegenden Masterarbeit ist eine umfassende Balanced Scorecard in MS Excel, welche die Kooperationspartnerin künftig dabei unterstützt, die Unternehmenssteuerung, Kontrolle und Zielerreichung verstärkt zu optimieren.
• The constantly changing competitive environment and external influences require companies to constantly adapt their strategic controlling tools to ensure long-term success. The use of the management tool Balanced Scorecard as an early warning system, optimizes strategic controlling by identifying and recognizing risks and negative developments at an early stage. The cooperation partner of the present work is a medium-sized subsidiary of Granit Holding GmbH, which is active in the cleaning industry. The cleaning industry is a challenging industry in Austria due to the highly competitive market environment. For this reason, there is a need to optimize the strategic controlling of the cooperation partner in order to continue to successfully meet the challenges of the difficult market conditions. Up to now, there is no controlling tool in the form of a Balanced Scorecard, which provides the company with a quick and balanced overview of the company's performance and does not exclusively rely on past-oriented accounting data. Therefore, the problem of this thesis is the clarification of the question, how a Balanced Scorecard should be structured in terms of content, which is specifically tailored to the requirements of the cooperation partner. For the clarification of the main research question the strategic bases of the enterprise are examined in the first step. For this purpose, the company's environment will be analyzed on the basis of a literature research as well as a company analysis, which will be conducted on the basis of a guideline interview with the managing director. In the second step, the Balanced Scorecard for the cooperation partner is developed on the basis of the information obtained. For this purpose, the perspectives are first determined and the company goals are derived. In order to measure the achievement of objectives, the next step is to define the metrics. For this purpose, key figures are proposed for selection, which are then evaluated by an employee using a scoring procedure. The results are presented to the managing director as the final decision-making authority. Subsequently, the operational target values and tolerance limits are defined and strategic actions are determined. Finally, the Balanced Scorecard is implemented visually in MS Excel using the compiled data. The practical output of this master thesis is a comprehensive Balanced Scorecard in MS Excel, which will support the cooperation partner in the future in optimizing corporate management, control and target achievement to a greater extent.
