  • Consultants have to adapt due to digital change and the changing requirements of their clients. Especially smaller consulting companies often do not have the required resources to deal with innovative topics in the scope of digitalisation. INNOLAB (an initiative of the chamber of commerce Styria) is also operating in this sector and deals with innovation consulting for small and medium-sized enterprises. As part of the Innovation Management programme at the University of Applied Sciences of the Economy on CAMPUS 02 in Graz, it is constantly engaged in new scientific research and innovation, but not all digitisation opportunities currently emerging on the market can be covered. The aim of this Master's thesis is to identify digitalisation potentials for companies from the innovation consulting industry and to identify specific options for action for INNOLAB for the year 2025. The theoretical part of this thesis covers the analysis of the service sector in general, furthermore the consulting industry and its processes with a focus on innovation consulting as well as current trends in digitalisation. In the empirical part the actual situation of INNOLAB will be analysed. Then six experts from the innovation and digitalisation consulting sector will be interviewed about which digital activities and tools they currently use and which they could imagine for the future. On the basis of the information gathered, a workshop with INNOLAB will identify five specific digitalisation actions for the year 2025. As a result, all identified digitisation potentials will be presented in the form of a modular set-up system along the entire innovation consulting process and divided into digital activities, tools and formats. As a further result, the generated digitalisation potentials for INNOLAB for the year 2025 are described in detail.
